Here is what you need to know for the Project  Requirements.

To be eligible to participate in the Butler County 4-H Horse and Pony Roundup,members must complete a 4-H Horse Project Enrollment Form to identify the horse they plan to enter in competition.

A member may also designate an additional draft or miniature horse to be shown in the appropriate driving classes. A draft or miniature horse may be used as the member's performance horse in non-driving classes if the member does not have a light horse or pony.

4-H members who have a 4-H horse production project must complete a 4-H Horse Project Enrollment Form to identify the animal(s) they are using for the project.

Horse Project Enrollment forms must be turned into the extension office by 4:30 pm. on June 1. If June 1st falls on a holiday, Saturday, or Sunday, the horse project enrollment form must be submitted by the close of business on the next business day. Late Forms are not Accepted.

4-H members must be at least 12 years of age as of January 1st of the current year to show a production project at the county, regional, or state level or must have passed the Horsemanship Skills Level 1 handling skills for each horse they plan to exhibit as a production project. Youth under 12 years of age must retest the appropriate Level 1 handling skills on an annual basis with each production animal to be shown.

All 4-H horse production project animals must be enrolled before the end of their two year old year to be eligible for competition in the production division.

To be eligible to participate in the PA Regional Production Show during the current year, a 4-H Horse Project Enrollment Form must be completed for each production animal and turned into the extension office by 4:30 p.m. on June 1. If June 1st falls on a holiday, Saturday, or Sunday, the horse project enrollent form must be submitted by the close of business day. Late forms are not accepted.

Foals of the current year, born after June 1st are eligible to show in the regional production show if their dam has been enrolled as a production project by June 1 and the foal is born and entered before the show entry deadline.

All required health documentation must be submitted with project enrollment forms. The Following documents are required:

    *Verification of Rabies Vaccination

    *Proof of Negative EIA status (Coggins test report)

    *Veterinary Client Patient Relationship Form (VCPR)
